How to get GWAMM in Guild Wars 1
GWAMM means God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals. In Guild Wars 1, you earn it by completing 30 qualifying title tracks on one character. Reaching level 20 is only the start; GWAMM is a title project across the game.
This route is for a PvE character with access to Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North. If you already have progress, keep it: a favourite established character can be a better starting point than a new one.

A practical 30-title checklist
The campaign titles below count separately. Finishing the three regional tracks also completes the corresponding Legendary track, so those groups contribute four titles each.
- Protector and Guardian: 7. Three campaign Protector titles, three campaign Guardian titles and Legendary Guardian.
- Cartographer: 4. Tyrian, Canthan and Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer, plus Legendary Cartographer.
- Vanquisher: 4. Tyrian, Canthan and Elonian Vanquisher, plus Legendary Vanquisher.
- Skill Hunter: 4. Three campaign Elite Skill Hunter titles, plus Legendary Skill Hunter.
- Eye of the North reputation: 4. Max Asura, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard and Norn.
- Legendary Master of the North: 1.
- Nightfall reputation: 2. Max Sunspear and Lightbringer.
- Legendary Survivor: 1.
- Consumable titles: 3. Max Drunkard, Sweet Tooth and Party Animal.
Total: 30. This is one workable combination, not the only route. A qualifying account-wide title you have already maxed can replace a track in this plan. GWAMM itself does not add a 31st point to its own requirement.
Make each session count toward more than one goal
- Audit your Hero panel. Write down completed tracks and unfinished campaigns. Choose your 30 before spending heavily on account-wide titles.
- Prepare your character and heroes. Test your build and team on manageable content before committing to long Hard Mode areas. Better preparation helps avoid failed runs.
- Combine travel tasks. While completing missions and clearing areas, explore map edges and plan nearby elite-skill captures. Carry the appropriate storybooks and take relevant bounties before starting.
- Use the current activity schedule. Check Zaishen missions, vanquishes and weekly bonuses against your unfinished objectives. Plan around useful overlaps instead of repeating completed content solely for points.
- Reassess before a final grind. Campaign play, books and vanquishing can already supply reputation progress. Check what remains before choosing a dedicated farm.
Survivor: plan the experience streak
Legendary Survivor requires 1,337,500 experience between deaths. An old death does not permanently disqualify your character. The Hero panel records your best streak; /deaths shows experience since the last death.
Completed storybooks can provide experience when handed in. Check each book's reward, add it to your current streak and keep a written total before relying on a turn-in plan. Do not assume one set of books supplies the entire requirement.
Skill Hunter: captures or elite tomes?
Capturing skills lets you combine progress with exploration. An elite tome can teach an eligible elite skill already unlocked on your account, and learning it counts toward Skill Hunter. It does not give the capture experience. Characters opted into Melandru's Accord cannot use skill tomes.
Check the profession and your unlocked skills before choosing GW1 Elite Tomes.
Budget in title points, not item stacks
Drunkard, Sweet Tooth and Party Animal each need 10,000 points for the maximum rank. Different items award different numbers of points, so 10,000 points does not necessarily mean 10,000 items.
- Drunkard: points come from consumed alcohol. Old advice about waiting 10,000 minutes is outdated.
- Sweet Tooth: check the points per sweet and whether it requires death penalty or a morale condition to use. Some eligible sweets can be exchanged with Kazuma for easier-to-use alternatives.
- Party Animal: use point-awarding festive items. Everlasting tonics and everlasting fireworks do not add title points.
Buying example: if you still need 2,400 points and an item gives 3 points per use, you need 800 of that item. First subtract the points already earned, then compare the cost per point.
Festivals can be a source of title consumables. Keep a budget for skills and other character costs as well. Our GW1 currency guide explains Gold, Platinum, ectos, Armbraces and Zaishen Keys.
How long does GWAMM take?
There is no single honest completion time for every character. Starting titles, unlocked content, team setup and available playtime all matter. Track completed missions, areas and title points each week. A useful next target is a specific unfinished track, rather than a promised finish date.
